Can you use a clarifying Shampoo on dyed hair?

June 26, 2010, 4:00 pm
Question
I am naturally brunette, but my hair is dyed blonde, caramel type color. It has low-lights highlights shadowing etc. So i need to touch up every 4 weeks about. Does clarifying shampoo strip the color? I was only going to use it once a week. I know that you generally wait about 3 weeks after dying your whole head that color, but what about the root touch ups? Will it affect the dye in that area since it is freshly dyed?? Thanks!
Answer
No Don't use a clarifying shampoo on freshly dye hair that would just strip away your hair color fast .Use a color protecting shampoo or a moisturizing shampoo to protect your hair color.
